How to Create a Hot Cocoa Shop Themed Sensory Bin

Fall is officially in full swing over at our house and we just had to create a cozy sensory bin to play in! Here's how we made our Hot Cocoa Shop themed sensory bin.

Step 1

If you have a sensory table, perfect! We have one but our 10 month old can now reach it... and likes to eat the sensory items that the toddlers play with, so we recently made a switch to these portable sensory bins and they are AMAZING! They come with a lid so you can easily close up the bin and store the sensory bin without having to empty the tub each time.

Step 2

Add the "ingredients!." We used Coco Puffs for the coffee/hot cocoa. Don't forget the mini marshmallows! We also included to go coffee cups and small scoops to our bins.

Step 3

Print out the "recipe cards." These cards will help your child identify numbers and practice counting. You can get the recipe cards we used for free below! It's a Canva template (you don't need a Canva account) and you'll be able to download the cards and print right at home!

Step 4

HAVE FUN! That's it! This is a really easy sensory bin to set up.
