How to make homemade taste safe playdough

Making homemade playdough is actually super easy! And the best part, it's taste safe! So if you're little one decides to take a bite, it won't harm them.

You can also add some cinnamon to give your playdough extra pizzazz!

Here's the recipe I use with my own kids!

Ingredients:

• 2 cups flour

• 3/4 cup salt

• 4 teaspoons cream of tartar

• 2 cups lukewarm water

• 2 tablespoons oil

cinnamon (optional)

Pour 2 cups flour, 3/4 cup table salt, 4 teaspoons cream of tartar, 2 cups lukewarm water, and 2 tablespoons oil into a pot. (And if you're as obsessed with this cookware as I am, here's the Amazon link!) We've used coconut oil and vegetable oil in the past, any oil will work.

Stir the ingredients together and cook over medium heat, stirring consistently. You can choose to add food coloring when you first put all the ingredients in, but I typically wait until the ingredients are all mixed together and is starting to cook. That's just personal preference though!

Once all the playdough lumps together and doesn't stick to the pot anymore, you know the playdough is done! It only takes just a couple of minutes!

You can also add some cinnamon to give your playdough extra pizzazz! This is especially fun in the fall if you make orange playdough.

Once your playdough is complete, dump it onto some parchment paper and begin kneeing the dough. This helps make the playdough extra soft, finishes blending any extra ingredients, and mixes the cinnamon in better.

Yay! Your playdough is ready to be played with! Grab some cookie cutters, pipe cleaners, popsicle sticks, etc. and get exploring!
